Accessibility
For a web designer it is easy to forget that not everybody has a computer with the latest technology, a high screen resolution and a broadband connection. Yet, when designing a website we should keep in mind that many people do have an old and slow computer, that people use a wide variety of web browsers and that not everybody is familiar with surfing the internet. At the same time we should be aware of developments like the increasing popularity of surfing the internet on a mobile phone.
In the context of the internet, accessibility means that a website should be easy to access. Visitors should be able to view a web page the way they wish to view it with the equipment that they have available. Negative experiences (resulting in losing repeat visits) should be avoided.
Easy Openings endevours to build its website in accordance with the recommendations outlined by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). This means that we will ensure that all the major web browsers (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari and Opera) display our web pages correctly and that our websites look good at different screen resolutions. You will find that the fonts and colours we choose are readable and that the navigation on our websites is logical and easy to use. And before we upload a webpage we will ensure that the coding of the page is valid (free of potential errors). You can check this yourself for each page by clicking on the W3C link in the footer.
